FABL Maryland History

FABL-MD was founded in 2005 by two San Beda alumni, Louie Brill and Greg Pejoro.  This has been decided after the Filipino American Association of Bethesda (FAAB) basketball league was dissolved after 9/11 because of the tight security at the Naval Hospital.

They both felt that it is about time to bring basketball to Filipino-Americans residing in Montgomery county and the metro-DC area.  The goal is to offer competitive basketball and at the same time foster an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship.  In addition, encourage youth participation, build self confidence and develop their basketball skills.
